Ms. Cheap: No yard needed for this new sale
One question I am asked a lot is: Do you know anyone who will come and get some things that I want to get rid of and pay me something for them?
Another question is: Do you know of anywhere I can have a garage sale to sell some things since I cant (or dont want to) have a sale in my home?
And today I happily have an answer to both questions: the new The STUFF Sale in Franklin.
The newfangled sale, which takes place two Saturdays a month, is described as a managed indoor yard sale. It is sort of a hybrid of a traditional garage sale, a consignment sale and selling on Craigslist.
If you have things you want to sell, the sales organizer, John Harvey, says you have several options, ranging from you pricing, photographing and delivering your items to the Franklin warehouse where the sale is held, to having the sale organizers come out and pick up your things and photograph and price them for you.
If you do all of the work, you get to keep 70 percent of what your items sell for. If they do all of the work, you get 30 percent and they get 70 percent. There also is a 50/50 option, where you do some of the work and they do some and you split the proceeds.
