Beyonce Pregnant: Readies for Baby with Massive New 'Crib'
Insider has said that the couple's pad "will have a nursery that is 2,200 square feet" by the time they're finished. Wow, can that be right?! Talk about an MTV-worthy "crib." It sounds more like a penthouse than a nursery. The huge amount of square footage dedicated to Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby's room is not only shocking because of its location in an NYC apartment, where space is at a premium, but for the sheer fact that it's bigger than many people's entire homes. Of course, the insider revealed that disbelief and perhaps slight disdain for such a lofty nursery has already been voiced, "Some people are like, 'Won't you be scared to leave your baby in that huge room?'"
However, the area for the nursery is probably not just one gigantic room. The more likely scenario is that it's a space that includes a bedroom for the crib, changing table, toys and other baby necessities, along with maybe a big closet (for all those House of Dereon-designed outfits, perhaps!), a bathroom and powder room, and a sitting room—no doubt with a rocking chair for plenty of Beyonce lullabies.
