Made in America emerges as market trend
Participating Saturday in a ribbon-cutting to open the pavilion on the top floor of the Market Square & Suites showroom building were Lexington artist and designer Bob Timberlake, who has become a leading spokesman for the Made in America movement in the home furnishings industry; Tom Conley, president and CEO of the High Point Market Authority; Bob Maricich, CEO of the newly formed company, International Market Centers, which owns major showrooms in High Point and Las Vegas; and Brian Bunch, vice president of leasing for Market Square AC Management.
"As we saw more and more domestic and international buyers coming to High Point Market in search of American-made products, we realized there was an opportunity to assist the buyers by creating a single destination for domestically produced home furnishings," said Brian Bunch, vice president of leasing for Market Square AC Management.
